Well you couldn’t keep the poor critters cooped up in the bedrooms forever. That’s just not fair. (Forced to choose, obviously I’m prioritising them above Vince anyway... lol) They need a bit of space. And company. This way they can go hang out whenever they like.
It’s all in the phrasing. What was she supposed to think? That Severus had gone soft, already been tamed by Crooks and started to hang out with the creature? She underestimates her pet.
And on the upside, they’re ahead of the game and already have a design for their Christmas cards... Can’t you just picture Ron getting one? 😉
