Ron should have grovelled and apologised to Hermione and Crooks and kept them in Kneazle treats until the end of time to make up for that. (Crooks didn’t want his inferior love. *nods* pfft.)
Well, if she realises he’s accepted Crooks, she might come to think he might eventually accept her, too. Can’t have that. (eye roll)
Crooks first met Sunny when the elf popped him into the pet carrier and Apparated him to the dungeons. That didn’t go over well, and he stalked him a bit, and Sunny, mindful that he shouldn’t harm Mistress’ beastie, fled, establishing for Crooks that he’s the dominant one and the elf is prey. (That generally takes some effort to set right.) Then he lurks around the flat a lot, Disillusioned, apparently without either of the two humans knowing about it (humans really aren’t the sharpest sometimes) and that makes the elf highly suspicious in Crooks’ eyes. Plus, they may think they’re competing for the same resources, the affection and attention of those two (slow witted) humans.
If Moldyshorts had a clue how much it annoyed some staff members, he’d probably be pleased, but being Moldyshorts he’d then attack because: bad spy. Severus is supposed to fit in and make people like/trust him. lol (Bella, in a fit of pique, will suggest a Dale Carnegie course for him one of these days.)
