No, of course not. You would think it perfectly acceptable to let a bunch of competitive adolescents recklessly fly around on mere sticks high above the ground with no safety gear or nets or cushioning or parental consent and call it a game. I would think having magical options for healing would increase accidental deaths by wide margin because of an increased sence of invincibility and a lack of respect for the laws of nature. Pain is real! It is also relative and personal. And it is certainly not experienced only in a physical way. People (magical and muggle) are so quick to judge and compare. Empathy and compassion requires having a certain level of selflessness that isn't normal/natural. We have to fight against human nature and set aside our own issues/pain/wants and focus on some else without thought to "what's in it for me." Empathy is a choice not a feeling. Not easy, but so so needed. No one should have to justify why they need a hug!
