It's okay to feel a little sorry for them. No one, not even the (rapey) class bully, deserves what's going on in their lives. That doesn't mean some of them don't do wrong, not by a long shot, but as a whole at present they're more weak or opportunistic than evil (or simply not in positions where any amount of strength would make a difference (Theo & Draco)). And the problems have been greatly exacerbated because in their world the punishments have long ceased to be commensurate to the crimes. (Either nothing happens, or it's too much, and that usually depends on who you know, how you're seen.) That never ends well.
Yeah, Daph will toddle off and save the world while embroidering snake borders and thinking desperately of Fwoopers as she goes... 😆 Ella is definitely the more reliable bet... (But there's something to be said for wild cards.)
