Yeah, being a Snake seems to carry a fairly heavy price in too many ways, so I feel sorry that their lives are so painfully difficult. Though I feel no sympathy for the opportunistic bouts of evil, they do deserve backlash... just maybe not to the point of permanent-ish maiming? I know Poppy can work some miracles, but ... um... detached items & nerve damage... yikes. And that the worst seems to be Theo just makes me ache. Then the Harper cliffie made me clench up in fear. Agree, the over the top consequences could have the reverse effect if the kids ever realize how far over it has gone, causing resentment instead of remorse.
